Chuck, Noticed your page while starting my search into family history. My father was Clarence D. Shultz and our family hailed from the Pennsylvania area also. Somerset to be exact. Anyway, good info on your page, looks like youve done your homework. Wish I could have found some associations on your listings, it would have saved me TONS of work!   Thanks

Chuck, I'm working on the flyer for the Glueck Reunion, June 14, 2003 in Cat Spring and look forward to meeting you there. I had to check out your web site and it's great. I was wondering if your first source listed as "GLUECK" was the work of my Grandfather D.D. Smalley of Houston. If this is so, please give credit to him. He was husband of Josephine Glueck, daughter of Frank, Jr. We spent many months, years ?, visiting the Houston Library, Cat Spring and Houston Gluecks to pick up any solid information there was. Mostly, there were great stories and great new memories for us kiddos getting out in the country and hearing about how Cat Spring got its name, six-gun junction, how to dig up peanuts and tinker with model T's. FYI: His personal museum - The Hyde Park Miniature Museum - has been Revived! and will be on display Sundays only til December at Brazos Book Store on Bissonnet. My brother Frank is docenting most days. It is a major collaboration of Orange Show, Rice Architecture Dept., Friends and Family and of course Karl Killian of Brazos Book Store. Hope you will take time to go by and see it...or check out some writings in Houston Press, Texas Monthly 4/02 and some others. Thanks for your site and I hope to look through it more thoroughly another day. Vikki Fruit

What an outstanding and well organized site you have created! I'm impressed. I took a chance, and entered Heitkamp into Google, and found your great site. I'm new to geneology, and internet geneology especially! I need to send you what info I have on the Heitkamps. I think the Freidrich Heitkamp you have listed, is the brother to C. Heinrich Heitkamp that I am attempting to find information on. Will email you further. Thanks for being here to find, and for the great work! Man, what a LOT of it you have done.

My name is Edmund Marco and it's a pleasure to sign your guest book. I work for an advertising agency in London. Our agency represents direct marketing companies that are involved in the marketing of products as seen on TV in England. Most of the infomercial products come from the U.S. but then again we export our talents as well. My brother has appeared in infomercials in the U.S. advertising various products. I think it's hilarious that English people respond so well to American products while Americans tend to respond well to sales people who have an English accent!

This email and geneology is really something and at one time I thought electric typewriters were about as electronic as one could get. I received info from Leann Parrett and Dennis Boatright giving me a heads up on this. You have done a marvelous job; my grandparents Thomas and Mathilda Stasny had two daughters also and they aren't listed. My cousin in Waco and I could probably give you info on them to put in the Thomas Stasny bio. The daughters are Victoria Nolte and Helen Batla, Helen was my mother. My cousin in Waco, Clarence Nolte, could give you info for Victoria if you want us to send it to you. You've done a great job with this. I have also recently heard from Leann Parrett. How long have you worked on this project?

Just a note that there's a further possible derivation for Carr (well, there are myriad, there's a 20 volume series from the nineteenth century), that of my grandfather's line from the Irish Gaelic ni cHarra (I'm not sure of modern spelling) meaning clumsy, cack-handed or left handed. Ironically, the most commonly known Irish heraldry for the Carrs bears the French motto Tout Droit. As I said, just a note.
